| Costumes Return/Exchange Policy |
Costumes can be returned ONLY for the following reasons:
- Defective Workmanship
- If we sent you the Wrong Size
- If you want to Return or Exchange for a different costume
Any returns for the 1st and 2nd above reasons are for exchange without paying the 25% restocking fee. Any costume returned back to us for the 3rd reason above-for return or exchange of a different costume- will be subject to 25% restocking fee. Customer is responsible for both the return and redelivery shipping charges of the costume.
If customer returns any costume for a refund due to unlikeness, wrong size ordered or any other reason; the refund would be the original amount charged minus the 25% restocking fee and minus the shipping charges. Shipping charges are not refundable. We do not post a credit to your credit card but a refund check will be mailed to you if a credit is requested.
There is a grace period of 4 calendar days given to notify us of any returns from the day you receive your costume. You must contact us before you return any costume to us to get a return permission. To get a Return Authorization please call us or email us to fax you or email you the return/exchange form. No refund or exchange will be processed if you do not fill this form and you do not get a return authorization from Portara. Any unauthorized returns will NOT be accepted as well as any returns after the grace period. If we authorize a return, then we must receive the costume by the end of the 5th day from the date we authorize the return. That means you must ship the costume immediately back to us. You must return the costume(s) in the original condition and packaging along with the tags attached. We suggest you insure them for loss or damage by the carrier, as we cannot give you a refund if they arrive damaged in any way or if they get lost. We are not responsible for any lost items. Please do not delay the return of the costume(s) because your package will not be accepted.
FOR SPECIAL ORDERS:
Adult Sizes Costumes that are ordered from Greece by Portara Gallery specifically
for a customer after a customer places an order with Portara Gallery cannot be
returned for any reason EXCEPT of a Defective Workmanship. If you want to cancel
your order after you place such an order with us, you must contact
us to
obtain a CANCELLATION Authorization. Please call us or email
us to fax you
or email you the cancellation form. No refund or cancellation will
be processed if you do not fill this form and you do not get a cancellation authorization
from Portara. If you do not have access to the internet, please call us
at 718-961-2299 and we would fax you the form. If you then get the cancellation
authorization from Portara Gallery, your refund would be the original amount
charged minus the 25% restocking fee. We do not post a credit to your
credit card but a refund check will be mailed to you if a credit is
requested. Please be fair and sensible. We have this policy for special orders
in order to protect our company and to avoid abuse made on purpose from
some customers.
We do not jeopardize our business for any reason and we try to satisfy every customer. Your complete satisfaction is our first priority. All of the above restrictions are valid and NO exceptions can be made for anyone because costumes are seasonal items and imported and their price depends totally on the euro-dollar difference. So please be fair and sensible. All IMPORTANT NOTES AND RESTRICTIONS FOR THE COSTUMES are reported to the issuing bank of your credit card exactly as they are stated on this page of the web site and under every page of the costumes' section.
