The Fashion silk color is used in women's fashion and it is also called Hollywood cerise. The term "fashion" is frequently used in a positive sense, as a synonym for glamour, beauty and style. In this sense, fashions are a sort of communal art, through which a culture examines its notions of beauty and goodness. And this Christening candle here possess all of the above characteristics and has an outstanding beauty and appearance!

The candle is created with several layers of soft ivory tulle coming down in uneven ends. The outer layer is then  100% Pearl White Silk fabric that finishes just above the tulle so you can see the tulle below and  create a color contrast and unique appearance! Then its top is decorated with a matching ivory bow on the background accented uniquely with a wide burgundy redish ribbon. The bow is made of Taffeta fabric which is known for its crispy appearance ~a smooth woven fabric made from silk. Taffeta is considered to be a "high end" fabric. The last touches are added by crystals, ivory with burgundy organdy silk flowers and matching ribbons. Burgundy and ivory color ribbons with bows embellish the decoration and the bodice of the candle further to the left and the right on the bottom.

The dimensions of the box are: 19" x 13" x 4.5". It is big enough to fit the towels and oil sheet set, and/or the baby shoes, socks, oil bottle and soap. The box is a keepsake and can be used to store things or decorate the baby's room after the Christening.

The fabric Taffeta has been known since at least the Renaissance period. William Shakespeare mentions it in Twelfth Night (Act II: Sc IV), before the Clown's exit: "Now, the melancholy god protect thee; and the tailor make thy doublet of changeable taffeta, for thy mind is a very opal!" It is also mentioned in Henry IV Part I (Act I: Sc 2), when Prince Hal compares the sun to "a fair hot wench in flame coloured taffeta."

Taffeta is the designer fabric du jour for wedding gowns, bridesmaid dresses, ball gowns, Prom dresses and other formal wear. Taffetas usually have a light to medium luster finish.
